An instant classic, Union Jack is the recipient of numerous awards including back to back wins at the Great American Beer Festival. Union Jack is abound with hop aroma and character. In fact this well balanced, west coast IPA is dry hopped 3 separate times, each lot giving it more and more of the grapefruit citrus hop aroma and flavor it is known for. Overall it utilizes over 4 pounds of pacific northwest hops per barrel.

UPDATED: NOV 19, 2012 Excellent IPA. Pours a hazy, golden yellow, with large, frothy head. Strong citrus/hop aroma. Flavor an intense combination of citrus and strong hoppy bitterness. Nice malty undercurrent. Very satisfying beer.

2015-04-18. Nice orange body and white head. Aroma of resiny hops and citrus notes. Flavour is pleasantly bitter and hoppy, nice citrus melange with notes of orange and tangerines. Lingering bitterness and resin long into the finish. Average bodied palate, soft carbonation. Solid. Just a touch boozier than my preferance but rather good. On tap at Allen Burger Venture, Buffalo.

Aroma is citrus and pine hops mixed with a perfect amount of malt sweetness. Appearance is like most other IPAs, just slightly darker. Pillowy white head of foam. Taste is honey up front, followed by both types of hops described in the aroma. Hops are sharp, but never bitter. Aftertaste is slightly hoppy and refreshing. Palate is outstanding for the style, slick and full bodied. An unpretentious IPA that can be drunk right out of the bottle. FW really knocked it out of the park on this one. This is the best beer that I have tried from FW.

West coast IPA. Pacific Northwest hop aroma. Bitterness initially is puckering then mellows to hoppy lupine deliciousness.

Super excited to finally try this one. 16oz draft on vacation. No head with a syrupy golden color. Huge aromas of flowers, grapefruit, flight resin. Nice hopping with a good malt backbone. Pretty thick on the palate, medium carbonation, dry bitter finish. Great IPA.
