COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A decadent Oatmeal Stout brimming with cocoa and espresso aromas. This beer features a rich, dark chocolate and roasted coffee flavor with a creamy mouth feel and wonderfully dry finish. The addition of U.S. grown fuggles hops contributes the perfect amount of bitterness to this exceptionally balanced beer.

On draft, on nitro. Smooth and balanced beer, but a bit weak and watery for my tastes. The initial taste was chocolate and roasted malt, with a really smooth, creamy mouthfeel and not even a hint of acid from the dark roast malts. However, in the middle and the finish it all just fell away, and I was left with a hint of flavor and a lot of bland... water... flavor. I think it might be the nitro serving system, so I’ll try to rerate it if I get the chance to drink it again.

Draft pour. Pours a very dark mahogany that is nearly black in color and topped by a nice layer of tan colored foam that shows good retention and leaves scant lines of lace around the glass. The aroma shows notes of dark chocolate, roast, espresso, and dark caramel malts. Some bread and oats come through as well and gives a nice creamy smell to it. The flavor follows and shows a nice rich blend of malts with the dark chocolate, caramel, bread, earthy roast, and espresso all showing prominently. The oats add balance and gives everything a creamy texture. Medium bodied and very smooth with moderate carbonation that leads to a slightly dry and bitter sweet finish. Really smooth, easy drinking, and tasty oatmeal stout. Well done.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a thick, wet black color with a slight dark brown-ruby red hue and a large foamy-creamy tan head with good retention, and modest cling and lacing. Its aroma featured rich malty notes of chocolate, coffee, and caramel malt, along with some earthy and grainy notes for balance and scents of bread and oats. The taste was modestly sweet and roasty with notes of chocolate and light coffee, along with some caramel, and a mild grainy and bread-oat bitterness as well. The beer was quite smooth and velvety in the mouth, with average carbonation and fizz, and a wetter body for a smooth finish.
