3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle into a glass. Deep brown pour, somewhere between cola and coffee. Not much head to speak of. Aroma is chocolate, vanilla, dark roasted coffee, Bit of a milk chocolate thing as it warms. Taste is creamy, rich, slightly bitter dark chocolate with roasted espresso notes. Nice balance of sweet and bitter with a constant deep roasted malt backbone always in play. Easy drinking, full of flavor.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20

Transfer from BA review on 12-31-13-
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – Pours a deep brown, nearly black color, with a one finger of tan colored head. The head fades rather rapidly, leaving a persistent foam head that eventually fades to leave only a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is rather light overall, consisting mainly of a roasted malt smell mixed with some coffee aromas. Along with these smells are some lighter notes of a oatmeal smell as well as a little bit of a woody smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a roasted malt flavor mixed with a sweeter oat flavor with some caramel and oatmeal flavors. The oat and sweet flavors lose some ground as the taste advances, being replace by some coffee like flavors. The coffee grows stronger toward the end of the flavor really taking hold of the overall flavor profile. A little bit of an oaky taste as well as a slight increase in sweet, but a rather big increase in the bitter coffee, come at the very end leaving one with a slightly drier and bitter, but still quite pleasant, coffee flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather average. A slightly thicker body and lower carbonation would have likely been slightly better for the darker and coffee flavors of the brew, but overall for the 5.5 % abv, the feel was OK.
Overall – A rather decent oatmeal stout overall. Rather drinkable with a nice coffee flavor.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Oatmeal Stout brimming with cocoa and espresso aromas. This beer features a rich, dark chocolate and roasted coffee flavor - but not too roasted - with a creamy mouth feel and a nice dry finish. Overall, a very well balanced dry stout.

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run, 5/24/14. Pours a dark brown color with a large tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of nutty notes, chocolate, roast, oats, mild hoppy finish. 3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. bottle, thanks to TheHOFF43. Pours black, with a medium, fizzy, tan head. The aroma is smooth coffee, milk chocolate, light hickory, peat, cinnamon, and syrup. Sticky sweet, with a nice, roasty bitterness. Heavy body, a little clingy, and a little chalky, but generally smooth and relatively clean for a stout. This is a nice, balanced, and very well made stout.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a dark brown with minimal khaki colored head and no lacing. There is a nice roastiness in the aroma along with some dark chocolate and coffee notes. Taste follows the nose. Smooth but the body is on the light side and the finish is dry and slightly bitter. Carbonation is also low making this a very easy drinking beer. Firestone Walker produces excellent beers.
