A decadent Oatmeal Stout brimming with cocoa and espresso aromas. This beer features a rich, dark chocolate and roasted coffee flavor with a creamy mouth feel and wonderfully dry finish. The addition of U.S. grown fuggles hops contributes the perfect amount of bitterness to this exceptionally balanced beer.

Medium to full body, with a creamy mouthfeel The finish shows some bourbon like flavors. Rich and tasty. Nice beer after a day on the ski slope

UPDATED: APR 17, 2013 Pours the color of dark coffee and the aroma is like roasted chocolate coffee beans with a hint of toasted grain. Head foams up nicely, but dissipates quickly. Somewhat sweet and malty up front and a trace of bitter chocolate in the end. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy, yet with pleasant carbonation dancing on the tip of the tongue. Carmely finish lingers long. Very tasty brew. This is a stout by which I measure other stouts.

Bottle from wchesser, thanks Will! Aroma has notes of coffee, dark roasted malts, chocolate and oat. Very dark brown that sits almost black in the glass. Small mostly diminishing off-white head that left little lace. Flavor is very sweet and medium bitter. Palate is medium bodied and oily soft. Overall a nice stout that is rich and enjoyable.

Appearance is dark brown with a voluptuous, creamy head. Aroma is coffee and chocolate with plenty of roasted malt. It has a good balance of sweet and bitter, a little on the dry side with a medium body and creamy texture. Carbonation is quite lively for a stout. I think this beer rivals Old Rasputin and is an exceptional oatmeal stout.

Nice dark color you’d expect from an oatmeal stout. A bit thin in the mouth, but really tasty. Lots of caramel malt and cocoa flavor. I’ll buy this anytime it’s in season.

Pure black stout with one thumb of thick tan head. Coffee and cocoa dominate the nose. Roasted coffee and dark chocolate flavors. Lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Creamy velvety texture very pleasing. Has a fairly dry finish. Very nice stout. ,
