COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A decadent Oatmeal Stout brimming with cocoa and espresso aromas. This beer features a rich, dark chocolate and roasted coffee flavor with a creamy mouth feel and wonderfully dry finish. The addition of U.S. grown fuggles hops contributes the perfect amount of bitterness to this exceptionally balanced beer.

Bottle. Exceptional "shelf" stout, I don’t think there are many better 6-packs out there. Dark brown with tan head. Chocolate, coffee, some dark fruit. Smooth, lively, medium bodied. Sessionable. Now I want some Merkin!

On tap at Isaac Newton’s. Nice notes of Roasted malt, chocolate and oatmeal. Body was slightly thin , but the nice blend of flavors made up for it.

12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours black, with a very small tan head that quickly fades. Nose is cocoa and coffee, and the taste follows the nose. Very smooth, well balanced stout, with a creamy mouth feel and a nice short finish. Delicious.

Dark chocolate brown. Good head. Aroma is hazelnut and mild coffee. Smells great. Taste is coffee, but more plums, dates, raisins, and PRUNES. The feel is soft and prune-like.

12oz bottle. Pours black, white head is almost nonexistent. Spotty lacing. Aroma is, yes, roasted malt, chocolate, coffee. Flavor is much the same. The most notable thing about this beer is the aptly named velvet mouthfeel. Pretty much as well balanced as a beer can be... perhaps too well balanced?
