3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle pours a watery, opaque black with a cloudy, white head. Nose is malty, bready, reminded me of a doppelbock, chocolate. Flavor is sweet, malty, chocolate, bread, grains, light wood, light smoke. Medium bodied. Disappointingly average.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
(bottle 12 oz) Dark black with a thick tan head. Incredible amount of roast in the aroma. All I got was big roasted coffee and malts with some toasted oats. Rich and roasty flavor at the start. Tons of roasted chocolate malts with a very mild sweetness from the oatmeal. Didnít realize it was bourbon aged at the time. Very mild flavor of bourbon with a big roasted finish.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Courtesy of Daknole!
Dark brown with a huge tan head. Tons of dry malts and oatmeal flakes come through in the aroma and flavor. Some dark chocolate as well. I donít pick up on much bourbon, except for just a bit of sweetness that leads to a long, dry finish. Medium bodied with super smooth texture. If it were more available, it would be my new session stout. Good stuff!

355mL courtesy of argo0. This poured a deep brune with a medium tan head. Aroma of smoked meat, really a massive amount of smokiness. Taste is roasty, some milk chocolate, light, some tart lemon coming through. Fairly thin on the palate. No bourbon comes through.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
this one is good. at bevmo for 5.99 or something close. one of my favorite breweries.. wasnít expecting anything bad. didnít get anything i didnít expect. this brewery is hard. i drank all of em, but firestone really doesnít play around. donít make this impossible to buy later! limited release? donít do me like that. better stout than iíve had in a long time. this is a five value wise. a seven even. Iím just pretending i paid what i normally would for a beer of this quality.. thats why the 4.2 . makes no sense i know! lagunitas cappucino stout still wins but this is incredible for the price. donít limit me, paso robles.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma is roasty, biscuit, oak, chocolate. Appearance is almost black with a hint of orange. Small tan brown head. Taste is roasty, chocolate, coffee, woody, oak, biscuit, creamy. Very unique and very creamy. Palate is medium + and incredibly smooth.... or as the name says, velvet-y. Overall an excellent oatmeal stout. Rich and complex. The best American made Oatmeal Stout I have had.
