A decadent Oatmeal Stout brimming with cocoa and espresso aromas. This beer features a rich, dark chocolate and roasted coffee flavor with a creamy mouth feel and wonderfully dry finish. The addition of U.S. grown fuggles hops contributes the perfect amount of bitterness to this exceptionally balanced beer.

Bottle courtesy of BelgianBeerGal. Pours dark brown with a tan foam that fades to a thin creamy head. Aroma is chocolaty, with hints of vanilla and coffee. Flavor is much the same with a full creamy body. Loved it.

On tap at Toronado. I prefer my stouts a little less hoppy. That being said, VM still had wonderful caramel and dark malt flavors..

Pours dark brown with a thin tan ring of bubbles. Smells of roasted malt, some oatmeal, licorice, spicy. Tastes of dark chocolate, roasted malt, earthy, some coffee hints. Finishes moderately bitter.

Pours a dark brown with a beige head. Smells of chocolate, oatmeal, coffee, and toasted malts. Taste is pretty mellow oats, chocolate and some nuttiness. Very creamy mouthfeel and very drinkable.

Aroma was surprising; like hydrocarbons or motor oil and peanuts. Fairly dry flavor with a medium roasty-ness. Kinda disappointing in light of all the other stellar beers from FW and the amazing blends this apparently figures into.

12 oz. bottle via daknole. Pours a dark brown color with a small creamy beige head. The aroma has a nice blend of roasted malts, creamy sweet oatmeal, light barrel notes and some earthy hops. The flavor has much of the same: roasted malts, creamy oatmeal, hints of bourbon and wood, chocolate, earthy hop bitterness. The finish is more dry with an increased roast and bitterness. The mouthfeel is smooth like velvet throughout. This would make for an outstanding sessionable stout if I had easy access to it.

Draft. Poured black color with an average frothy brown head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. medium to heavy toasted sweet malt aroma. Medium to full body with a creamy texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy roasted balanced bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet roasted finish of moderate to long duration. This is a very good beer.

12 oz bottle as an extra from Wavers1. Thanks, Baker! Pours a pretty dark blackish hue, perhaps some brownish edges, but quite dark and opaque. A decent frothy tannish brown head cakes atop, laces ok, and sits atop very nicely. Aromas are oatmeal and roasted barley, sweet with cocoa, toffee, and some creaminess, silky sweet and dark malts, touches of earthy nuttiness it seems. Initial is medium bodied, but lighter end of it, silky and creamy oatmeal, toffee, biscuits coupled with sweet and bitter cocoa, earthiness, peanuts, smoke and roasted barley, darker malts, yet silky, the roast is good, but the oatmeal and creamy sweetness, perhaps a touch of lactose and cream, vanilla and silky stout malts. Gentle and palatable, perhaps a touch of marshmellow. Solid sweet stout, lighter bodied and not anywhere near cloying. Quite drinkable, a little sweet and slanted creamy quality. Still, delivers as advertised
