A decadent Oatmeal Stout brimming with cocoa and espresso aromas. This beer features a rich, dark chocolate and roasted coffee flavor with a creamy mouth feel and wonderfully dry finish. The addition of U.S. grown fuggles hops contributes the perfect amount of bitterness to this exceptionally balanced beer.

A: A very nice looking black pour with a thin layer of tan foam on top. S: A strong aroma of coffee with other scents such oatmeal, roasted malt, and chocolate joining the party. T: The flavor is a bit disappointing. The coffee is once again the dominant sensation. The oatmeal is there, but surprisingly not a huge presence. There are also some hints of chocolate and roasted malt. M: The beer has a nice smooth somewhat creamy mouthfeel. The body, however, isn’t quite as full as I was expecting. D: Certainly a very drinkable beer with very little alcohol presence. I was really excited to get to try this, but a bit let down by it.

Very dark brown. Nice earthy, roasty character with dry, toasty malts. Full body. Smooth. Quite oaty, also sweet and maybe light butterscotch. A fairly moreish beer, something I genuinely appreciate in an oatmeal stout.

12 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of rich roasted malt, slightly sweet oats, a little bourbon and vanilla - the roasted malt is most pronounced though. Flavour matches accordingly, with the slightly sweet roasted malts and burnt flavours upfront. Not much presence of the bourbon barrel aging, thought there is maybe a subtle oak and vanilla character buried underneath somewhere. Palate is velvety as the name suggests. Very solid oatmeal stout.
