COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A decadent Oatmeal Stout brimming with cocoa and espresso aromas. This beer features a rich, dark chocolate and roasted coffee flavor with a creamy mouth feel and wonderfully dry finish. The addition of U.S. grown fuggles hops contributes the perfect amount of bitterness to this exceptionally balanced beer.

not my favorite style, but this one has a boat load of big rich roast/coffee flavor and a seriously smooth and creamy moutthfeel that still has nice carbonation. didnt know it was made with bourbon but after reading it it makes sense. the finish has a nice semi sweetness at the end after it warms. this example seems a little more bold than a lot of oatmeal stouts and that’s a good thing in my book. very well done

Milky silky chocolate roast. Nice flavorful beer. Smells a little burnt. Nice flavor for the ABV. I was enjoying this one night when I realized how late it was and that I had to go to bed. Left quarter of a glass in my minifridge, what the heck - would lose its carb but still be drinkable. Well it was fine several days later when I went back to it, no carb at all but still good flavor. And now my minifridge smells like it, which is kinda nice.

Thick, rich, creamy, nice flavor. Chocolate, with some mild coffee but without the bitterness; oatmeal. Nice.

Cocoa, coffee, roast in the aroma. Dark in color with red highlights and a mocha colored head with minimal lacing. Creamy cocoa, roast, vanilla, with a good dry slight bitter finish

chocolate licorice espresso caramel all there maybe some raisin also..very dark brown no light thru glass, thin disappearing tan head some lacing..tastes like the aroma with maybe a peppery bite too at the end very nice..surprisingly full bodied for the abv with light carbonation and lingering finish overall very nice and substantial stout that tastes like a Russian imperial

Appearance is dark brown with a voluptuous, creamy head. Aroma is coffee and chocolate with plenty of roasted malt. It has a good balance of sweet and bitter, a little on the dry side with a medium body and creamy texture. Carbonation is quite lively for a stout. I think this beer rivals Old Rasputin and is an exceptional oatmeal stout.

Bottle. Pours black with a generous tan head on top. Aroma is oatmeal, dark chocolate, toffee, roasted coffee, and roasted malts. Flavor is oatmeal, dark chocolate and roasted coffee. The beer is extremely smooth and comes medium bodied but nice creaminess and carbonation.

This is a good oatmeal stout. I had a couple tonight and have no regrets. On an unrelated note, I work at a brewery and was taking labels off undrank kegs. One said Velvet Merkin, which is the best beer name ever. But now I don't know if I read it wrong, someone defaced a label from this beer, or it was a crazy fever dream. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle poured into tulip during #bottlecherwednesdays at Beachwood BBQ Seal Beach. Appearance is clear, dark brown with two-finger tan head that leaves patchy lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, cereal, slight chocolate. Taste is similar with balancing herbal bitterness in the finish from the fuggles. Medium body, texture on the thin side, average to soft carbonation, and mildly bitter finish.
