Pours a dark brown, almost black, with a light tan head. Roasted malt on the nose, breadiness, nuttiness, light cocoa notes. Mostly a nutty roasted malt taste, some chocolate, earthiness, and maybe a touch of fruit? Pretty good porter, not exceptional.

This beer sneaks up on you. Very underwhelming upfront but just lingers and then rolls over the top of you.

On tap at Hops & Pie. Pour is deep brown, almost black with a small tan head and great lacing. Roasty, chocolate, brown sugar, bready, light vanilla, coffee, and caramel in the aroma. Taste is big roast, espresso, vanilla, somewhat earthy, grassy, toasty, and dirty with a light roasted finish. Medium mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Nice accessible porter.

2013 bomber to a snifter. Pots a dark amber brown color with very little head. Aroma is a little umami and roasty malt. Taste is umami, toffee, a little hops bitterness, roasted malt and some chocolate. Mouthfeel is thin and a little slick with a medium-high carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a dark brown with a tall, tan, very dense creamy head. Aroma has a light nutty, smooth toasted middle, light chocolat, slightly acidic malt nose at the end. Lots of brown malt is present in the nose. Flavor starts with the chocolate as it comes through very nicely and compliments the brown malt toasted notes perfectly. A mild walnut like nutty flavor kicks in in the middle. Mild earthy hops add some low bitterness late w/ just a touch of noble hops spicy notes. Body is perfect for the style. Modest body, lower carbonation, great almost-creamy feel. Awesomebeer! Definite a plus brew to get. One of the top, if not the top porter on my list now. Great body and toasted notes really make this brew.
