3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Paid exactly $6 at Learyís. 650mL bottle containing a charcoal dark wooded brown strongly resembling black. To snifter it pours inky and altogether smooth with a fluffy, webbing off-khaki head three fingers in length which gradually sank to one-to-two fingers. Aromas of seaweed, caramel, burnt cotton, toffee, ginger and British yeast. Tastes kind of salty and earthy with undercurrents of refined sugar, ash and almond butter. Interesting.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A beer profiled for the masses. Tasty and enjoyable, though, not as robust and rich as the "Reserve" label implied. For the price point, a well crafted brew that is far from disappointing.
