COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A singularly distinctive beer that represents our finest brewing efforts, Walker’s Reserve is a elegant dark ale featuring robust flavors of toffee, caramel and bittersweet chocolate. This brew employs five specialty malts, as well as oat and barley flakes, for added complexity and flavor.

22 oz. bottle. Pours dark brown in color with a small beige head. The aroma was moderately roasted, some chocolate, light black coffee, and earthy hops. The flavor was roasted malt, chocolate, vanilla, with some hoppy bitterness. A bit thin for my taste.

Light unclear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, light chocolaate - coffee, maybe rye, wood, light to moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20090612]

Bottle shared with the guys at the Barrios’ 500th Swallow Tasting. At least 2 years old, it pours a great dark brown with fair light tan head and decent lacing. Great chocolate nose, some soy, brown sugar joins in the flavor. Decently silky mouthfeel. Some weird bitter cardboardy finish, but easily overlooked. Very good actually.

Pours a fading tan head that has some legs and a dark brown body. Smells of cocoa, little coffee, smoke, and dark roasted malts. Flavor is the same. Lasting finish. Feels silky.

2008 bottle sampled in 2009. Pours translucent blackish brown with a lacy tan head. Aroma of brown sugar, chocolate, roasted nuts with just a thin pine edge. Creamy medium body. Sweet taste of chocolate, coffee, pine and citrus with just enough pine on the finish to clean things up nicely.
