On tap at Big Texas Beer Fest. Brown with a white head. The aroma and flavor have some chocolate and caramel malt, as well as a bit of nuttyness. There is also a little bit of grass as well as some slightly charred malt. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Poured a medium auburn colour with faint nose of burnt malt. In the mouth it tastes like a novice home brewers stab at a porter, very thin and ashy.

Dixonian (1562) - Plano, Texas, USA - DEC 27, 2012
On tap @ Dallas Winter Warmer. Owner/brewer/one man show Brad Perkinson told me "I hate brown ales so I brewed one that I like". Pretty straight forward - nose is slightly nutty with bready and toasted malt. Slight earthy hop presence. Good amount of flavor and very drinkable - deep malts, slight sweetness, and earthy hops.
