2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 blankboy (4450) - Toronto, - JAN 12, 2012
Cask at Cask Days 2011. Beer #22 of festival. Pours a murky amber with a small diminishing bubbly off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt and light hops. Flavour of caramel malt, lots of sugary sweetness and very light hops. Not really much of a finish to speak of. Average bodied. Not much going on here, just sweet and malty, not really my thing.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Lubiere (6988) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 8, 2011
A reddish amber barley wine with a thin light mocha head. In aroma, a rather bizarre sweet corn, corn stalks and butterscotch, so-so. In mouth, a sweet cloying malt with boiled corn, oily mouthfeel, ginger, bad. On tap at Toronto Cask Days, Oct. 30 2011
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 jerc (5591) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 2, 2011
2011-10-30. Hazy dark amber body, small creamy beige head. 3+ Interesting hop aroma, bit grassy, bit of a toasty caramel malt character. 7+ Flavour is similar, interesting hop profile that I find hard to pin down, modest malt with lightly caramel touches. Smooth average bodied palate. Bit mild overall, but interesting and enjoyable. Strikes me as more of an "English Strong" than a barleywine at times. Cask Days 2011, Toronto
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Sammy (6120) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 1, 2011
Cask Days 2011. Malty aromas, great amount of Bottom line: too sweet but decent. Above average mouthfeel, lots of malt but complexity overriden by substantial sweetness, cloying. Hops make an appearance, would like more sustained presence. So-so drinkability.
