UPDATED: DEC 16, 2014 330ml bottle poured in its own glass (close to a Weizen). A: Clear caramel color with a small head. Small retention and no lacings S: Sweet smell of malts (really smells like Whiskey). Oak. Bit fruity. I could not feel any smoke to a Smoked beer T: Very sweet, first of all. Barley malts and that’s it. Artificial plastic taste. No hops, no bitterness M: Medium body and medium to low carb O: Low Drinkability. Just avoid it [ BA Review @ 10/24/2010 ]

Peu amateur de bieres aromatisées, je la bois occasionnellement mais par plaisir très limité.

Vanilla-heavy in the foam, the aroma and the taste. Coloured like whisky, and the whisky is also strong in the aftertaste. The flavour also includes loads of caramel, and some whisky. I am excited about this beer - this is hard to place and does not compare easily with anything I have tasted before.

(Bottle) Clear pale brown with loose soapy head. Aroma is vegetables with maybe a hint of whisky. Light and fizzy. Taste is shocking! Sweet, vanilla, caramel. Some smoky hints. Overall nasty.

Peat-smoked malt does not a scotch ale make. It does improve an otherwise generic brew slightly. But only slightly.

Zapach z butelki: Słodowy z przyprawową, fenolową nutką. Bardzo delikatny. Piana: Kolor przełamanej bieli, prawie nie oblepia szkła, drobno- i średniopęcherzykowa. Niezbyt obfita, niezbyt trwała, redukuje się do obręczy, po paru minutach znika całkowicie do zera. Kolor: Klarowne ciemnozłote. Zapach: Słodowo-karmelowy ze sporą nutą wanilii. Nuty przypominające rumowy aromat do ciasta, trudna do opisania fenolowość. Po lekkim ogrzaniu mocny zapach, bardzo słodki, miodowo-waniliowo-rumowy. Smak: Bardzo słodkie, słodkość roztworu białego cukru. Nuta biszkoptu, lekka nuta miodowa i wanilia. Bardzo mdłe. Tekstura: Gładkie, średnie ciało, bardzo lepkie, syropowo klejące.. Nasycenie: Bardzo wysokie. Goryczka: Niska. Pijalność: Niska. Wybitnie paskudna porażka. Ulepek i kakofonia smaków.

Can from Carrefour, Nice. Deep amber colour, or whisky coloured for arguments sake. Has no head. Has a small malt-whisky aroma, although probably not a great one if you’re a whisky lover. Slightly sweet tasting and the strength is not too evident, but average rather than great.

From bottle to glass at Au General Lafayette. Aroma and flavor are both whisky and smoked peat. Malt and mouthfeel are very light. Not a lot here except the smoked malt. Boring, and a little tough to get through a 12-ouncer, but not terrible. Color is off slightly aged whisky.

Not for craft beer drinkers. Aroma of diluted whiskey and sugar. Can't call this beer, more an alcohol delivery liquid. It tastes like sugar water mixed with cheap blended whisky. The finish is the part that makes you want to run for a tooth brush or mouth wash, artificial in flavor.

Pours out of the bottle in a clear golden-amber colour with low ehad and medium body. Aroma of malt and grains with a hint of peat. Taste of torf, peat, light barley, light malt, mild hops, grains and roast. Hints of woods and bread. Not a nice beer, just too unbalanced and dusty.
