Smoked wood and light malted whiskey after this. There is still some lager like corn and grain but it is defiantly a step up from a cheap pale lager.
Sweet with lots of lager malts and hops along with a smoked wood and peat flavour to it. There is also some whiskey like malts as the writing on the same suggested and wicked alcohol kick to the beer with a sweet bitter finish.
Sweet with a smoked wood texture and a fair amount of alcohol for a drink coming in at under 6% abv. The beer is medium bodied and sticky with a spicy finish.
This one is a drinkable beer and enjoyable although you need to take your time with it and I don’t think it is quite as good as I remember from a few weeks ago in Paris.

330ml bottle bought at CitySuper in Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui.
Clear orange amber colour; Very thin head and off-white foam which fades in 30 seconds; Near-zero lacing with fizzy carbonation; Pungent smell of malt, skunk, sugar syrup, grains, orange and grass; Cloying sweet taste of thin malt and rice grain, with honey, thick sugar syrup, light orange, whiskey note, wet cardboard, faint trace of citrus, and very light grass; Medium body, thick, oily and cloying palate; Hoppiness is strong in grassy smell, none in citrus taste and minimal in bitterness; Slighty dry after taste, very easy to mouth.
Comments: Cloyingly sweet taste and hellbound syrupy palate sum up this swill. The whiskey gimmick simply doesn’t work here, as it has no smokiness or earthy taste whatsoever. All the smell and taste elements - be that good or bad - were overwhelmed by the syrups. Never trust anyone who can make decent Scotch Ale other then the Scottish!

Bottle @ home. Birra commerciale aromatizzata al malto torbato (ingiusto definirlo da whisky). Ha un sentore torbato che ricorda anche il sughero e uno zucchero di canna troppo caramllizzato. La schiuma è ampia, quasi saponosa assolutamente evanescente. Il colore è abrato, quasi ruggine. L’assaggio è dolce fino quasi allo stucchevole all’ingresso, poi migliora un filo col torbato e chiude con appiccicosità e sapore di melassa. Poco corpo , quasi nulla e carbonatazione poco percettibile.

Amber coloured, clear, medium instable head. Smells sweet/artificial, a bit hoppy. Taste is a bit peaty/whisky, but again sweet and artificial. Finish is dry and smokey.

I wasn’t sure what to expect here, and like those who loved it, it’s pretty good. It can’t be compared to others and needs to eb addressed on it’s own qualities. Nice rich golden color with creamy head, aroma of wood and toffee, taste of caramel, peat, butterand wood. Smooth and oily texture, this is really different French beer.

Light amber color. Small head with good carbonation. Copper aroma. Taste is pretty mild. Scotchy finish from the peat-smoked malt. Finish is great, but the sweet caramel is too overpowering.

Bottle shared a a tasting at avrashi’s place. Pours clear dark golden with white ring. Honey and malt aroma, slightly grainy and pipe tobacco. Very sweet, a little smoky. Light body, sticky, pipe finish and smooth carbonation.

Bottle sample at a tasting at avrashi’s place. Thanks kerenmk. Clear deep golden. Aroma has some whiskey, a bit smoked, a bit of honey and some graininess. Sickly sweet flavor with lots of honey, some graininess and a hint of whiskey in the finish. Light to medium-bodied.

Bottle sampled at clockwork’s December 8th, 2012 tasting. Pours a golden hazy body with no head. Aroma is shit-disgusting booze. Pretty horrendous. Mouthfeel is barely drinkable with notes of horrific alcohol, artificial sweetener, stale gum and malts. Stay away from this brutally horrific malt liquor.

Fra flaske på Les Destillieries Idéales, Nice 14 Okt 12. Gyldenbrun. OK luftig skum som varer en stund. Bra, litt søtlig whiskyaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken er papp med en kvalmende søt ettersmak. Like dårlig som forventet.
