Lacing was very heavy and considerable, all the way down the glass, which suprised me. Aroma of both hops and malt, with nuances of a sweet/sour mash. Flavor is quite dry with heavy nuances of malt and hops with an underlying sweetness. Mouthfeel is light and dry, very low carbonation. Aftertaste is very light, mostly of hops and a bit of that sweet/sour picked up in the aroma. This is actually a very decent, easily drinkable beer. I am amazed at the low rating! | 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Nov 16, 2005 Not very good French beer. A rather bland and uninspired attempt at an Amber. It took me a while just to get the dang thing open. No lacing with a dissipating head and an Ice Tea looking color. Watery yet somewhat malt taste is really blah...France; Their wine is much better than their beer. Palidor19 (1772), Brandon, Florida, USA

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Oct 24, 2005 Bottled at a little bar in Boston. Admittedly, I didn’t expect much from this beer and purchased it primarily as a novelty. Clear dark amber pour with red highlights under a small white head with some lacing. Faint aroma of malt and hay. Very little balance in the flavor with entirely too much malt and a hint of candy cane. Some hops fought their way in but were quickly and unceremoniously dispatched. Mouthfeel was nothing special but not watery and the finish was a bit sour. If you’re looking for a change of pace beer from a non beer producing country, this one fits the bill but it doesn’t deserve a second glass. thegreenrooster (1819), St.louis, Missouri, USA

Nothing really going on there...next. Flavor is pretty much the same. There are some malts used but that is about it. Bland and boring. Wiseblood (658), Clarksville, Tennessee, USA

Tinny and sweet, touch of hops, pretty bland overall. Crisp, slightly bitter aftertaste. Nice bottle. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Sep 1, 2005 Sour, wine-like aroma. Clear amber colour with large off-white head that lasts forever. Sour and wine-like flavour with watery texture and fizzy carbonation. Drinkable but just barely. Bottle. Entered from notes.
