jasonp (1504), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA Aug 12, 2004 Pours a clear amber with a small head. Aroma is slightly malty. Taste is very blah - light caramel malt and hops. Lacks character. Has somewhat of a crappy champagne-like aftertaste. Mouthfeel is thin. Boring, not recommended. freekyp (900), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA Aug 2, 2004 Deep amber with large rocky white head. Corn is apparent in nose. Sweet and corny with light hoppiness. Better than American Lagers but not by much. Kevin (1917), Colorado, USA Jun 26, 2004 Bottle. pours deep brown with tinges of red. aroma is skunk and peppermint taste is even worse. taste is a sour malt with an even worse hop finish. this beer is horrid. someone kill me please. if this tatsted as badd as it smelled that would have been o.k, but it tastes worse. there is nothing to recommend this. i would rather drink Bud than this. Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA Jun 25, 2004 Bottle. Smell is roigh-kinda smells like a truck stop bathroom that has been half assed cleaned. Pour is decent-a red/amber with a loose one finger off white head. Taste is not nearly as bad as the smell. There is a sharp candy caramel taste along with some malt notes. Caramel and malt absoultley dominate the taste. The sweetness is just a little too much. It’s hard to drink this with the clothespin on my nose. Honeslty, it smells to high hell. walleye (876), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA Jun 25, 2004 poured amber with white head. aroma malty, choc. molasses, orange. flavor white raisins, mettallic as it warmed tthe flavor just went away. a ok beer another that needs to be very cold robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA Jun 22, 2004 Light Light Brown Coloring. Smells bad...taste confirmed what the nose suspected. Not skunky....just plain skanky.... heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA Jun 21, 2004 I enjoyed Fischer’s bitter, but this is not nearly as good. Bottle opened with a slightly skunky aroma and some soap. Has a fairly light colored amber body with a huge off-white head. Lots of lacing. The taste is not as bad as the aroma. Has some vinegar and plastic. Coats your mouth and the funky taste lingers. This makes me think of having wax in my mouth. Steer clear of this one unless you want bottles for home brew. jde123 (715), Washington, Washington DC, USA Jun 14, 2004 Updated: Mar 6, 2005I really enjoy this one for some reason. Pours clear and amber, hence the name, but I felt the appearance was lacking a bit, too clear. Kind of a sweet taste to this one but with an initial sour note. However, a mellow smoothness to the finish. Not too bad.
