Washed out, light reddish body with large bubbles in the head. Unpleasant. Bad plastic/Green taste in my mouth. Weak and uninteresting. Overall, not good. crazyvin (1250), New York, USA

Palate seemed slighly carbonatied. gerod42 (6), Melbourne, Arizona, Australia does not count | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Apr 23, 2004 Nice Amber Color. Unfortunately, it doesn't have much else going for it. It pours nicely, with a thick head (albeit fizzy one). Aroma is strangely sour, smelling much like a Fosters lager (weird). Initial flavor pretty tolerable, watery and a bit malty but not too sweet. Almost like a weird corn taste. Aftertaste is pretty disappointing. Don't drink this with a meal. This beer has a strange effect in which it overenhances food that you eat. Creepy. And what in the hell is that fishy rubbery taste? I'll stick to Grolsch for my swing-tops (great bottles for bottling your own beer). I've got a sixer of Tilburg's Dutch Brown Ale in the fridge, waiting for me to suffer my way through this bottle. Blech. imdownthepub (5122), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Apr 21, 2004 Bottled, pasteurised. Reddish amber with bubbly, gassed head. Despite the gassiness of the beer there is a surprising amount of flavour, all malt really, but there is a certain charm to it. Presentable. Jayson2425 (167), Box Elder, South Dakota, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 7, 2004 Darker amber pour with a frothy head that dissapated quick, spotty lacing and lots of carbonation. Wet malt aroma with a slight touch of bitter hops. A little nutty or earthy. Earthy malts, caramel, and bitter hops. Quite a bit of bitter hops. A slight soap like quality to it. Slightly dry palate, medium body, and an acidic, bitter finish.
