COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A slightly roasted malt gives it a light amber color. The rich flavor dominates the malt/hops balance and is very popular among most beer drinkers.

Bottle, 65 cl. Label says 6,3 % ABV. Slightly bitter, somewhat sweetish, with a light bitter finish. Nothing special.

Lucent amber, thin white head, medium body, medium high co2.

Aroma: grainy, slightly musty.

Taste: grainy, adjunts, slight herbal hop bitterness.

Overall seems like one of those beers that some macrobrewer tries to pass off as craft beer, but is really just a less watered down version of their usual stuff.

Poured from an embossed swing top bomber. Bottle looks cool. Neck label says this is an amber ale although it’s listed here as a lager, I’m slightly concerned. Pours a deep straw with a loosely formed two finger head that recedes to nothing, quickly. Water clear, save for the color. Aroma is light malt. Slightly caramel and nutty. Smallish hop aroma that wants to be a strong noble but fails. Flavor is light malt with a slightly roasted caramel flavor. Slightly nutty with a smallish roast flavor that reminds me of a cheap American macro rip off of an amber. Finishes slightly sweet and with and astringent, with alcohol flavors running rampant. Actually aftertaste is very sweet, like there was sugar added to the mash. Mouthfeel is thin and watery, but with a carbonation lushness that isn’t bad. Overall, if there was a bit more substance it would be better. I don’t know about this beer, it is not an amber ale or even close. It is entirely an easy drinking, thin, high, ABV beer with a little flavor. Drinkability suffers greatly because of the ABV and the alcohol prominence. No reason I should taste alcohol this much with a 6%’er. Reviewed on: 05-15-2010

Too much carbonation—forms a fountain drink feeling on the palate. Head is strong at first, but withers very quickly and overall seems almost artificial. Faint notes of fruit in the background, but any hint of taste is overpowered by the overall mediocrity of the beer’s profile.

Not much of an Amber Ale. Pretty weak considering, though pretty good were it a pale lager

Bottle - Very clear amber with white head. Aroma and tastes was good but no particular flavors stand out. Nice on palate and overall a good tasting beer that goes well with Mexican food.

Appearance: Pours a clear, light amber body with a near white head that peters out fairly quickly. Smell: Meager breadiness and faint nutty, caramel notes and a wash of fruitiness like sniffing a pitcher of fresh sangria blanca. Taste: Washed out, watery tastes of nutty, faintly sweet caramel and salted bread speckled with brown sugar. Fruitiness akin to a splash of Mott’s apple juice and white wine. Mild herbaceous hop character with a light, balancing bitterness. Small touch of alcohol warmth. Finishes relatively crisp with lingering tastes of bread and apple. Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation. Soft mouthfeel. Drinkability: A tad simplistic and ordinary, but it’s goodly quenching as I sit here in muggy GA with the AC on the fritz. For being light in flavor, I would prefer to see less alcohol, but it’s no big deal, I suppose.
