Very clean nose. Maltiness is apparent from the middle on. Alot lighter than it looks or pretends to be but with enough body to be interesting. Somewhat sour if you pay attention.

Ok, lets get the cool bottle part out of the way first. You gotta like it. My first thought while pouring was motor oil. It is a very similar color. Of course, motor oil with a significant head! Actually a nice looking beer. The aroma didn’t really grab me. A mix of stale beer with over ripe fruit. However, there was nothing at all negative about the flavor or palate. Both were very enjoyable. The beer seemed to improve as the glass emptied. Such a pleasant brew, how can this be rated so low? A 16%? No way! It felt a premium beer in the mouth. This is NOT a 16%.

Carmel and honey overtones, no head, good color. An enjoyable Amber ale. I like this ale. Maybe not "world class", but not bad.

Little aroma. Not much head. Mediocre amber hue. Flavor is malty smoothness with nice finish. Hops are there, but way in the background, just adding a little stability to the subdued sweetness. Nothing great, but agreeable. Not sure if this would be a good sessions beer since it may get sweet after awhile.

I like that style of bottle cap, I love popping those things. Very weird aftertaste indeed, but by the end of the beer, it is good. Very good for a French beer.

Appearance: Pours a clear, light amber body with a near white head that peters out fairly quickly.
Smell: Meager breadiness and faint nutty, caramel notes and a wash of fruitiness like sniffing a pitcher of fresh sangria blanca.
Taste: Washed out, watery tastes of nutty, faintly sweet caramel and salted bread speckled with brown sugar. Fruitiness akin to a splash of Mott’s apple juice and white wine. Mild herbaceous hop character with a light, balancing bitterness. Small touch of alcohol warmth. Finishes relatively crisp with lingering tastes of bread and apple.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation. Soft mouthfeel.
Drinkability: A tad simplistic and ordinary, but it’s goodly quenching as I sit here in muggy GA with the AC on the fritz. For being light in flavor, I would prefer to see less alcohol, but it’s no big deal, I suppose.
