Commercial Description:
A slightly roasted malt gives it a light amber color. The rich flavor dominates the malt/hops balance and is very popular among most beer drinkers.

pours very clear, light amber, with a slight creamy head. The palate is very dry. It's bland, no real hops presence. It's a cheap beer in a fancy bottle. Don't waste your time.

The malt liquor comment was a bit harsh, but I’m hard pressed to tell a major difference between this and Dos Equis Amber. Perhaps this is slightly more bitter, but doesn’t contain any more flavor than XX, it seems less flavor actually. I do taste a bit of smokiness however. This stuff needs more hops!!! I wouldn’t buy it again. Not unless it was $.99 on special. Then I’d pick up several. The bottle is cool of course. RE-RATE:I decide I was a little too nice to this beer with the 2.4 rating. Adjusted accordingly.

Very disappointing. The bitter is quite hoppy with a long finish and a distinctive flavor. This came off very bland and water by comparison. I probably should have started with this and moved on to the bitter but that's the way it worked out. The flavor's more pedestrian, more generic euro-beer. The "Grolsch" bottles look nice but if I had to drink a Fischer, I'd go with the bitter instead of this.

15 percentile is a bit harsh, but this really isn’t a great beer. I was intrigued by the bottle and where it was from, (Alsace region) but I was dissappointed. Nice color & head, but lacks flavor. Goes down easy, but like Chinese food, leaves you wanting more, simply due to lack of substance.

I love the color. Its an ambiguous amber/red/brown...../beer color? Simple and lite aroma of citrus and good old CO2. Flavor is bland if not watered down malt and trailing yet lite bitterness. Not a lot to say other than, this was a really expensive disappointment. Not that I wont drink it though.

Pours nice copper amber with large, lively bubbles and soft disappearing head. Aroma is metalic. Very little flavor but very slightly bitter. Very light bodied. Finish is over almost before you’re done drinking.

bottle. pours a dark yellow with a thin tan head. has a sweet, malty aroma. has a bitter, roasted flavor with a skunky and kind of plain finish.
