2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 steview (913) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 4, 2005
UPDATED: FEB 5, 2005 inactive body, big airy white head, acidic apple with light bready notes. nothing much here! but it is not that bad. feels thin, just not noteworthy enough. and this is an amber? egh, i don’t know. there’s nothing really to care for in this little ol’ french beer. UPDATE 2/5/05: downrated. i had a whole beer this time, and i had to drainpour. the flavor is offensive, seriously. not much in aroma, nor flavor... but it really did cause my tongue to roll. reminded me of my infected homebrew from awhile ago...

Sour, wine-like aroma. Clear amber colour with large off-white head that lasts forever. Sour and wine-like flavour with watery texture and fizzy carbonation. Drinkable but just barely. Bottle. Entered from notes.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 GuilTTy (715) - Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA - OCT 24, 2005
Bottled at a little bar in Boston. Admittedly, I didn’t expect much from this beer and purchased it primarily as a novelty. Clear dark amber pour with red highlights under a small white head with some lacing. Faint aroma of malt and hay. Very little balance in the flavor with entirely too much malt and a hint of candy cane. Some hops fought their way in but were quickly and unceremoniously dispatched. Mouthfeel was nothing special but not watery and the finish was a bit sour. If you’re looking for a change of pace beer from a non beer producing country, this one fits the bill but it doesn’t deserve a second glass.

Bottle poured a clear amber with a large, lasting white head. Aromas of cereal, hops, and a bit of sourness. Palate was light and smooth. Flavors of sweet malt and a hint of hops with a smooth, slightly bitter finish.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 BeerBelcher (972) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAY 22, 2007
I was at Consumer Beerage today, I saw this in the cooler, and I can’t say I can remember seeing it elsewhere so I picked it up (the price was right). The flavor is metallic and doesn’t satisfy any of the reasons for which I drink beer. I can’t say i would recommend this to anyone.
Packaging was a clear bottle (which, knowing the effect of light on beer I always find disconcerting unless it’s Miiler High Life). Appearance is a dark amber/copper color with great head formation and retention. Aroma is a musty, sour, off-putting smell with a bit of caramel malt. Flavor was malty and metallic, a bit overly sweet, and generally unpleasant. Not good.
2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 mmmbeer (1042) - Austin, Texas, USA - FEB 25, 2008
Bottle poured into pint glass- poured transparent brownish amber, white head formed a was noticeable throughout the drinking, aroma of hard flora (like old mucky dandelions) with a slight malt note. Hits the mouth with a thin bottle, some malt, some hops, a little artificial sweetness that throws me off. 3rd time I’ve tried this- all times something just tastes off.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 fidelis83 (1354) - Clinton, Iowa, USA - APR 12, 2010
Pours a clear, light amber with a 1 finger creamy white head that has good retention. Aroma is toasted malt, rice-y sweetness, a ferment twang and light caramel. Flavor is sweet cereal grains (heavy on the rice), light vegetal notes, tree fruit sweetness and some planty hops. Finishes grassy and sweet. Palate is lightish bodied slightly slick throughout, with a slightly drier finish and a light but sharp carbonation. Pretty tame even for an amber, but none too offensive.

Pours an amber (duh) with a fairly thick white head. Aroma is very light and smells just enough of hops that you know your smelling a beer. Flavor is light malt and hops with nothing spectacular about it.
