Fischer Amber

France has not impressed me yet with their beers. Faint roasted malt on the nose and not much else. Colour is fine. Very thin beer, lacks the rich flavour that Ive come to expect in my ambers, and just doesnt feel right in my mouth. Very watery and all flavour disappears at the end. Very easy to drink for a 6% beer though. Whether that is a good thing or not is up for debate.

Pours a yellow amber with a bright white head that soon dissipated quickly. Minimal lacing. Aroma wafts faint hints of malt, and that stinky skunky smell... Taste is not bad, very bland for an "amber" ale, it tastes more lager-ish to me. Odd aftertaste I can’t quite put my finger on...

First, it’s a pretty poor amber. Second, it’s French. Third, my bottle was not badass like the one in the picture. Soured and not at all pleasing.

Pours very fine off-white head that lasts. Body color is on the orange side of amber. Good carbonation w/large bubbles. Good sweet malty aroma. Flavor is not malty enough for me. Somewhat sour lingering in the background. Needed a cold one so it accomplished that, but not something that’s memorable.

Amber. Medium head. Aroma: Grains, grass. Flavor: Same with a candy backing. Metallic, strange finish. The French do OK with beers for a wine country. Just as long as they don’t try to compete with the Germans, Belgians or Brittish, they can hold thier own with the rest of Europe on Beers.

I can’t say that I really enjoyed the taste of the beer. It as okay to begin with, with a nice amber color and thickish white head, but it was a little sour and had too much of a caramel flavor to it.

Bottle into a pint glass at an Old Chicago. Weird almost wine-like beer that had me surprised from the first sip and kept me guessing.

Amber pour with off white head. Nice malt aroma. Sweetness, hops, caramel. Taste is malt and a little hops. Slight sweetness at the end. Kind of a refreshing beer on a hot day. Nice lacing- the head lasted till the last drink.
