Dangle (30), Cullowhee, North Carolina, USA May 8, 2008 Golden color with with head. Nice even taste with a good after taste as well. I gotta say that its not really my favorite but good for what it is.
JonR888710 (1000), Cochabamba, Bolivia Jul 10, 2008 Huge white, meringue-like head. Hazy amber-brown body with orange hues. Aroma is wet-hay, grass, ripe red plums. Taste is a wet lager, watery, could use carbonation. Caramel is readily present. Palate is boring. Sampled from a rather large bottle, purchased at Wegmans in Fairfax, VA. rkuhnel (980), Eureka, California, USA Jul 6, 2008 From a 500 ml swing top bottle, this poured a very clear amber with nice white head and light lacing. Nose of light malts and some floral hops. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor has some light nuts and the finish is slightly bitter. Drinkable. ditmier (155), Boise, Idaho, USA Jun 30, 2008 2008 Bottle - Small white head, light amber colour, flavour is smooth malt, bread and slight bitterness...not too much going on, decent, but I feel that most of the price went to packaging... Angeloregon (1549), Portland, Oregon, USA Jun 13, 2008 From a 22 ounce flip top bottle purchased at By The Bottle in Vancouver, WA--Poured a frothy white-headed copper-golden-amber clear body. Metallic nose with hints of mild earthy malts. Thin, but well rounded mouthfeel. Perhaps this beer didn’t travel well, because it is obvious that it is a medium-bodied, easy drinking, well-balanced brew. Thin, sessionable, creamy, nutty, and smooth. Finished with some stale, yet prevalent hop character. I bet on tap at the source it is much better. wxman (431), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA Jun 3, 2008 I’ve been drinking Amber off and on for 20 years. What it may lack in exquisite taste and character, it makes up for in consistency. It tastes the same as the first time I tried it. Pours a golden amber color with a thick rocky white head that diminishes eventually, but still provides lacing. The hoppy aroma is bitter and weed-like, yet not unpleasant. The taste is sweet roasted malt along with caramel and a pronounced sour bitterness. Aftertaste is almost like having chewed an aspirin. Having said all that, I still think it’s pretty decent, just odd.
