3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Rated 1/10/06: The only reason i first bought this beer was for the flip top bottles which I figured would hold my home brews rather nicely. At first I wasn’t too thrilled with the taste, but by my third glass it started to grow on me. Smells like a european pale lager for sure. There was more than ample head provided with lacing that clung to the glass the entire time. The taste is above average and certainly different to what I’m accustomed to. This is generally not my style of beer but for some reason I really enjoyed this beer. Too bad that I haven’t been able to find it for some time now I sure would like some more of those 22 ounce flip tops. Besides the bottle has a very cool shape to it.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle; nose of grain, grass, and a sour fruit note; gold with a small white head; flavor is grainy with some sour carmel, and some hops for a finish. Not that great!

Cloudy golden body, extremely frothy white head. Grassy aroma. Grainy flavour. Poorly done.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma is this beer’s downfall, yet it is still a drinkable bitter. It’s a litle bit better than Fischer Speciale.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from MI. Poured dark amber with an average frothy white head that diminished slowly with small lacing. Moderated balanced malt and hop aroma. Medium body with a thin texture. Medium sweet malt flavor with a light hoppy bitter finish. Again, bottle looked better than the taste of the beer.

2.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
A disappointing beer to me. It looked pretty nice with a substantial head and a nice golden tone to the beer. Its aroma was difficult to find. The flavor was less than hoped for. There was so little complexity. Take away the bitter hops and there is not much left.

2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Drank this outta the larger swing-top bottle. Crisp and clean with a dry-bitter bite. Great Ice cold! Drank 2 then moved onto something more flavorful.

2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Clear golden color with massive head that disapated quite rapidly. Slightly skunky and molasses aroma, and not much else. A mild hoppy flavor with an unpleasant metalic finish. Not a good beer.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Slightly hazed golden with a white head that reduced to a thin film. Some green apple in aroma, but mainly grass with diesel fumes and a touch of powdery floral. Dry and creamy. Flavor holds bitterness without much more. Touch of sweet, touch of sour, vermouth, herbal finish.
