COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Bitter has one of the highest hops content of any beer world wide. It is at the opposite end of the taste spectrum compared to the Amber. The hops/malt balance leans heavily toward hops and the bitter flavor of hops dominates.

This gorgeous bitter reminds me of summer. Smells like a freshly uncorked bottle of champagne on a warm summers day. Cool and ultra-refreshing. Heartier though not completely dissimilar to a weissbier. Color is a cloudy, effervescent gold. A thin, but rugged head. Taste is sweet, but not too sweet. Crisp, wheaty, almondine. Satisfying finish.

650 ml green swingtop. Pours a slightly hazy, orange-gold with a four-finger, creamy sticky head. Nice aroma of caramel, fruit, honey, and slight grass. Flavor is amazingly balanced between sweet and dry, having a big dry cereal flavor that is dried by some grassy-herb hops into a mildly sweet and tart caramel apple taste. Light-medium body is refreshing and dry. Nice caramel aftertaste. Seems more like a British style bitter ale than a pilsener, but gets high marks nonetheless.

Pours a slightly hazy deep gold with some off white head. Nose is heavy towards apple. Flavor is quite smooth with, yes, a bitter tone in the background, though not predominately so. At the start you get what seems like a bit of a sweetness. Feel is slightly watery with a slight carbonation to it. Very drinkable, though for some that "bitter" might detract. For it being this style, I am impressed. Worth a shot.

Nice looking beer that comes in a bad ass bottle. An old drinkin buddy of mine used to save clamp top bottles like this to make his world famous wheat beer, so everytime I drink something out a bottle like this I reminisce about the days of old. Not a bad beer as I like Pilseners, who says the French are so bad, in my opinion their beers are a lot better then German beers and their Heinekeny, skunk in a bottle St. Pauli girl crap.

Wow...looks like I’m really at odds with other raters. I thought this was a pretty good beer, nice and bitter, but also fairly well balanced. I guess i happened to get a fairly fresh (unskunked) bottle. Just shows how important it is to find a beer retailer you can trust, and then support them.

You cant go wrong with this french beer. Can distinguish the bitter taste of the hops. Nice white head and light color

I used to drink this beer a lot - merely because I thought it was a quality "session" beer that went down smoothly and had a clean taste for a bitter. In hindsight, however, I really must say that its flavor, although good, was somewhat weak... maybe Alsace needs to get overrun by the Germans again to fix that!

Another great brew from Fischer. Pours out the color of a golden pilsner, with fine bubbles for a head. Hops aromas prevalent from the start. Malty tastes up front, with a very bitter middle to it, along with a tangy hops finish. Actually not a bad beer, considering it's from France. It has that cool flip top ceramic lid on it too, making it reusable. I liked this beer alot, and I'll be drinking it again.

A straightforward bitter that is drinkable and refreshing and would be a good bar beer if you could find it in bars.
