illinismitty (1451), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Sep 19, 2008 Bottle shared by Ross. Pours a deep copper amber with an tan head. Aroma of caramel, fruity esters, alcohol, and sugar malts- almost like a barleywine. Medium bodied with a slightly rich texture. Flavor of dark caramel, yeast, and faded hops. Moderate attenuation. Finishes somewhat dusty and yeasty (probably due to the yeast from the bottle of the bottle). Simple, but this has held up well, but Ross stored this in the fridge. Hophead22 (252), Redlands, California, USA Jul 12, 2008 Subtle notes of pine. Pours med/dark brown. Sweet taste to it not alot of hop presence to it, lots of malt.
