Full hophead dosing, but not complex.Found in Calgary nine months back. General_Gao (2509), Iowa City, Iowa, USA May 14, 2008 12oz bottle. Poured a clear garnet color with a yellowish tan head. A bit of lace was left behind at the end. Big malty nose full of molasses, maple syrup, and toffee. There was also an orange liqueur note and a whiff of steeping barley. Medium to full bodied and sweet on the tongue. Carbonation was on the lower end of the spectrum. Fruity and malty, almost syrupy. I tasted cherry, toffee, pineapple, and subdued sprucy hops. There was minimal hop bitterness that lingered in the back of my mouth. Pretty good.
