The head is very poor. It is a highly viscous beer with no lacing. Thick and chewy. Strong bodies and very powerful. Too much alcohol for me to finsih the entire beer. Not my taste of beer.

Poured a hazy dark brownish copper with a light tan head. Aroma is very malty and sweet. A good amount of pineapple and fruits hop aroma is also present. Flavor is sweet and fruity with hop bitterness on the back end that finishes quickly but there is a long sweet malt finish. Medium to full bodied and almost syrupy on the tongue.

bottled. browny red. fruit salad and iced coffee aroma. plenty of flavours - caramel, pineapple, paddlepop stick. quite a subdued alcohol presence. interesting stuff but it does seem a little messy

Pours a dark murky rust red color. Small little white head floating around. ARoma of strong hops. Grapes, and vanilla. Flavor is very strong, hops blended together, whiskey, cherries. Very complex, amazingingly balanced. Wow, what a wonderful beer! Thanks to HerftyDrF for sending me this!

Gromit sends another great one...Orangey and copper off the pour with a huge egg colored head...Nose is sweet piney hops and a hefty dose of them...Flavor is well represented by the aroma...Lots of piney hops with some citrus flavor as well...Also some roasted, earthy notes towards the end...Finnish is bitter and bone dry...Good Stuff

Pours a muddy brown with a thick and dense white head that laces quite well to start out with but then falls apart later on. Sweet and fruity malts destroy the ten hops that are trying to break through in the nose. Nice nose. Citrusy and fruity bouquet. Sweet dark fruits and pineapples combine very well. Perfectly malted to compliment the ten hop varieties. This is a tasty beer. Ranked 3rd of of five in my blind barley wine tasting.

Cloudy gritty (from the huge amount of yeast in the bottle) pale brown below a small tan head. There is hop bitterness in the aroma along with an aroma similar to that of a barley wine. The flavor is quite bitter, very pronounced pine hops. Feel is venious and also increadibly full. This is probably the most full and thick beer I think I’ve ever tasted, like fresh milk. Thanks to HeRftYDrf for this.

Cherry skins clothing the plump green hoppiness...Agressive citrusy hop bitterness mutes some of the caramel malt’s proficiency...Very dry finale due to the intensity of the hop resin and the barrel aging is nowhere to be tasted, almost like the alcohol which only peeks around once in a while...A highly competent Double IPA which will only get better once the hops learn to step back a bit...
