Gusler (2656), Tucson, Arizona, USA Nov 6, 2007 The beer pours from the 12-ounce bottle a clear gold, the head two fingers, the texture creamy and the color white, lacing provides a nice concealing sheet upon the glass. Nose has a sweet malt aroma; hint of hops, citrus like crispness, start has a decent malt presence with a bit of bitter bite, top light to medium in feel. Finish sternly acidic, somewhat sweet with the hops present, quite dry aftertaste, a drinkable beer, average at best, nice session beer.
bhensonb (2880), Woodland, California, USA Aug 9, 2008 Bottle from John’s Market in Portland, OR. Dark gold color with a light white head. Aromas of pale malt and fruit hop. Medium body with coarse carbonation. Flavors of fruit, citrus and bread. More malty than not, and the hop is present, but overall it finishes more like bread. junon (136), Honolulu, Hawaii, USA Jul 28, 2008 Wow ok. For a summer beer it really did impress me. Much more colourful than I had expected. While at such a low alc% it definitely packs a bunch of flavor. Some may think that it would be a watered down beer at 4% but no. Beer_2000 (1195), Kristiansand, Norway Jul 16, 2008 On tap. Golden body with a thin white head. Vague fruity aroma. Flavor is refreshing, grainy and fruity. A bit thin body and not really very impressive. robforbes (729), Bremerton, Washington, USA Jul 11, 2008 pours semi-hazy orange-yellow, no head.
smell is somewhat hoppy, wheat, some citrus, light fruit.
taste of barley, some hops, some caramel, a little sweet, some lemon. stoutlover72 (1325), NorCal, California, USA May 29, 2008 Not much to hang your hat on a blonde ale, except the fact that they are usually really easy to drink, refreshing and that’s usually it. This is no different. The aroma had a bit of sewer-like aroma wafting up but after a few swirls it went away. What was left was a very subtle fruit aroma. Appearance was a medium gold color, clear with a one-finger thick white head. Flavors had some moderate honey character, subtle fruit notes and that’s about it. A clean, crisp finish.
