Daytona Beach, Fl - Total Wine & More - 12 oz bottle. Hazy, medium orange pour, sticky, snow white head decent lacing. Aroma has some orange marmalade accents, a hint of smelly socks. Solid bitter flavor, grapefruit citrus notes, hint of caramel sweetness, but kind of one dimensional. Sticky, rich mouthfeel. Solid IPA. reminds me of how they used to taste back in the ’90s.

Light brown orange from a 12 oz bottle. Drove all the way to N Carolina for a beer from Washington, what-evv. So astringent and bitter, right from the start. WHEWWIE. Terrible chewing on green grapefruit rind bullshit. Taste is over the top in bitterness, way over the top and the finish is a big bitter kick in the nasty jaw. Way too much for this lager lover, go figger, just another of the thousand terribly on style bitter IPA out there. Tastes like somebody mixed hand soap in this in the end. Somebody get me a good fresh lager as a chaser to rinse my mouth out. Bitter bullshit reprise.

Way to bitter indeed. But in the end you don{t have that aftertaste in the mouth. Enjoyable at some point and very cloudy.

22 oz bottle from Grocery Outlet in Lincoln City. $3.79 Taste is very mellow..tobacco leaf...caramel, touch of hazel nut. Small lemon zest hop. Over all medium mouth feel. OK beer for first camping of the season. Devils Lake

Fairly mediocre IPA. Not much hop aroma, but a lingering bitterness. A slight banana in the aroma.

Bottle from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours translucent coppery gold with a smallish white head. Aroma of malt, resin, citrus. Near med body. Flavor is malt, resin, citrus. Malts a bit too roasty for the style IMHO. With time it turns into a fruit/citrus muddle. It is bitter. The saving grace.

maekchu (3361) - Hirakata, JAPAN - NOV 23, 2015
Bottle from Kumiyama AEON Mall liquor shop. Spicy, citrusy nose. Hazy copper color, with a 2cm. pocked tan head. Caramel, touch of roast malt, some citrus. Medium body -- a bit thin, really, for the style. Hops hit nicely for a brief moment in mid palate, but then they drain away quickly.

Drunk side by side with the Organic IPA bottle from World Beer Market. I would say it pours a slightly deeper copper gold than the Organic IPA and is a bit more opaque. The aroma is maltier, fruitier with less of a bitting hop bitterness to it - definitely less pine notes. Medium to full bodied with a soft round carbonation makes for a pleasant mouthfeel. Wow, this is bitter. The malts provide sweetness but I don’t get any fruity hop character, it’s like licking a pine cone or what I imagine drinking pine sap tea would be like. Decent malt kick in the finish. I get more of a pale ale than IPA feel from it but it’s an old school pine bomb - if you enjoy that kind of thing you’ll like this. I’d say that I prefer the aroma on the Organic IPA

Surprising to see the negative comments/low scores. It’s at a solid price point for higher end craft beers. There were no extra frills to put it over the top, but it’s a solid example of what to expect from an IPA.

Aroma of malt and hops pours a clear caramel color with minimal head. Taste of malt caramel and hops with a medium body and a mildly bitter finish
