Jun 5, 2008 750 ml bottle 2003 vintage poured a clear reddish gold with a lasting creamy ivory head. Aromas of bread, yeast, graininess, light carmel and a hint of fruittiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of bread, yeast, light carmel and a hint of fruittiness with a smooth lingering malty finish.

Feb 6, 2008 2003 vintage 750ml bottle. Murky amber color with an off white head. Vinous, woody sweet aroma is complex. Med body with light carbonation. Nice sugary sweet, sour vinous, earthy, wood, spicy flavors are a Byzantine blend same as in the aroma. Has a subtle herbal hop bite to finish. Pretty damn good. 81005

Oct 21, 2007 (bottle - 750 ml: 2003 vintage) Cloudy orange/amber pour with a very thin layer of white foam. Aroma is sweet and malty with hints of yeast, caramel, and raisins. Flavor is sweet and yeasty with a little hint of apples, cloves, and a slightly bitter finish. Smooth and rather chewy.

Feb 7, 2007 Poured a hazy amber color with a large off-white head. The aroma was failrly fruity. Yeasty notes with oranges and some spice. The flavor had a fruity start but that was short lived. Some yeasty notes. Semi-dry bitter finish.

Nov 21, 2006 Beer 56 at the party. This is very thick for the style, but full of mouthfeel. A nice strong beer, hard to think of as a triple, since it has molasses characters to it, like a barleywine. Strange!
