decent amber ale, although there are better out there, I didnít find the flavors to be outstanding, but standard ordinary flavors.

I am a big supporter of organic goods and really wanted to like this beer, but unfortunately I didnít. I kind of think my bottle may have been old or something though, I found it much different than the detailed descriptions offered here. Iíll have to try it again. Until then. I found it harsh, metalic, thin, and sweet in a coca-cola way. It did get better as it warmed though. Like I said, pay no attention to me, Iíll have to try it again.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Smooth, buttery hops aroma. Light tea color with head that looks like tan, melting ice cream. Flavor has a honeysuckle/floral hop character, along with the amber malts. The brew rapidly loses carbonation, and the palate is a little thin with a lingering metallic twang from the Hallertau.

Nice beer, I love drinking this beer at the brewery. The mouth feel is wonderful, and the hops.

It has a very sweet flavor. It had a weak head disappeared quickly. Itís pretty good for a hippy beer (organic).

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
An oily rocky but quick-flopping head, the hoppy aroma is earthy, stark, medium full. The pour was too cold and the hop aroma was flat. Allowed to warm into more viney character a bit more blunt than a fully expressed hop. The malt is very present and multi-dimensional -- carmel, roasty, graham cracker. And itís well balanced by a good hearty dose of hops. The finish is bitter with dark malt shades long and near licorice.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: MAR 2, 2003 A dark amber on the pour with a monstrous head, frothy in consistency, beige in color and the residual lace a find sheet to cover the glass. Nose has nice malt sweetness, crisp and clean, a real sniffer. Sweet malt start and the top middling and the finish mildly acidic, the hops pertinent, and the aftertaste dry and long lasting, a real treat to the palate.
