4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
When it comes to fishtales i'm an automatic fan this one isn't an exception to that very nice dark amber color, small to no head what so ever.Malty sweet aroma with a small spiciness and a definate hop presence, and a slight hint of fruit as well.Malty taste, mild fruit tones with a strong presence of hops that just leap out at you.there is also a slight sweetness to this brew that fades to hops quickly, leaving you with a slight spicey, citrus, hop after taste. This is a fine brew and well worth trying more then once, but worth having around on a regular basis.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: FEB 4, 2003 Slightly murky amber pour, with medium head. This one looks like it should. Shining copper. Smells of strong hops, tastes of oak and sweet hops with a lightly bitter palate. Light body with soft carbonation. Finish is long and quite sour.

This is one of the first beers I really grew to enjoy in my early drinking days. Pours nicely and goes down smooth. A very admirable taste, and its organic nature ads a bit to the appeal. Definitely a thirst quencher that remains a household favorite.

decent amber ale, although there are better out there, I didn’t find the flavors to be outstanding, but standard ordinary flavors.

I am a big supporter of organic goods and really wanted to like this beer, but unfortunately I didn’t. I kind of think my bottle may have been old or something though, I found it much different than the detailed descriptions offered here. I’ll have to try it again. Until then. I found it harsh, metalic, thin, and sweet in a coca-cola way. It did get better as it warmed though. Like I said, pay no attention to me, I’ll have to try it again.
