probstk (643), Nepean, Ontario, Canada Jun 9, 2008 12 fl. Oz. bottle, served cold in a wine glass.
App.: Deep golden with a fair light green-yellow head.
Aroma: A fair amount of grapefruit C-hops, apricots, lighter caramel, apple juice.
Palate: Medium body and carbonation.
Flav.: Like the nose – lots of apple juice, some caramel, some grapefruit hops; somewhat off-dry, moderate bitterness with some fruitiness that lingers.
Fairly nice, especially for an “organic”.
hopulent (1), , British Columbia, Canada does not count Aug 14, 2008 Orange/Orange Bloossom nose, with malty grain aromas present(balance). Rich mouth feel grainy mineral flavours braced by a stinging hop acidity. Long lingering finish. Perfect for the drinker who wants an ipa with all the hop character coupled with some of the morev chewier characteritics of the pale ale tradition. mabel (1583), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 6, 2008 [1342-20080515] 355mL bottle. Orange fresh hops aroma with a bit of fresh-cut grass and fruit juice which is quick to dissipate. Hazy, glowy medium orange body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Solid woodsy flavour base up front is mostly bitter earthy hoppiness with a sweet finish. Medium body has a rough ending. Drinkable and quite well-balanced. blutt59 (620), Dallas, Texas, USA Jul 29, 2008 on tap, cloudy golden color, bitter hop nose with a strong bitter grapefruit flavor and finish, a little too astringent CapnCascade (38), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Jul 11, 2008 Hazy copper pour, light white head with some retention. Aroma pretty evenly balanced between dry-hebal and piney-floral, definitely high-alpha hops in shameless quantities. Flavor is a touch on the grassy side for me but is quite palatable all the same, if perhaps not in vast quantities. Very pleasant mouthfeel. Worth having again. brianprentiss (390), Mountain View, California, USA Jul 10, 2008 somewhat piney and fruity, great smell but a bit too woody for me.
