Black with a thick tan head. Smell is coffee, raspberries, and cut grass. Flavor is moderately bitter, with rich chocolate and coffee in the finish. The viscosity is a bit lighter than I would like, but overall, this is an excellent stout.

Bottle sample at Calgary beer fest. Black color, nice brown head. Aroma of roasty oats, very appetizing. Taste light chocolate and espresso soda. Tasty.

Bottle. Pours a near-black color with very little head on it. Nose is quite roasty with just a subtle hint of bitterness, but little depth. Taste has more depth of flavor with a hint of that hoppy bitterness coming through underneath some strong roasty elements.

12 oz. bottle from Total Wine, Chesapeake, VA (the bottle lists this as Over & Out Stout but the barcode is the same). Rich dark brown, nearly black, pour with a frothy khaki head. Aroma of roasted espresso and faint licorice. The flavor is bitter dark chocolate, burnt espresso beans, and flaked oats. Smooth and almost creamy mouthfeel. A very nice surprise.

12oz bottle (labelled as Over & Out) pours with a nice dark body that supports a mocha colored head of foam. The aroma offers up malt sweetened dark roasted malts, some nice chocolate notes and then more chocolate up to the end of the draw. The taste delivers a pleasing dark roastiness mixed with sweet malts and lots of chocolate. To midway a brief dark roasted coffee note comes forward and helps take this tasty beer to the finish. Pretty solid tasting brew that has a smooth mouth feel.

UPDATED: SEP 7, 2012 Had this at Venti’s on tap... Salem, OR. 31 IBU and 5.5% ABV. Slight syrupy body but very chocolate-malty. Slightly sweet. Fairly flat nitro, pours a dark brown. Smooth finish. Had this bottled, smooth not syrupy and moderate toasted malts. Very good for a straightforward Stout

Dark brown in color, hazy with a thin tan head. Lots of chocolate and coffee flavor and aroma. Nice silky taste with the light oatmeal. This was a super rendition by the boys at Fish.

Rate Beer needs to add Over ’N’ Out as an alternate name for this. Looks beautiful, dark brown head and opaque oil-black body. Has a light Rasputin-like feel to it. A serious thickness, pretty good. Just a tad too sweet for me at the moment.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled in 2/2014. Pours nearly pitch black color with a 1 finger dense tan head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, roasted malt, molasses, dark bread, toasted oats, light char, and roasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roasted malt and toasted oat notes; with solid strength. Taste of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, roasted malt, dark bread, toasted oats, light char, and roasted earthiness. Good amount of roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, roast, dark bread, toasted oats, light char, and roasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity and robustness of dark/roasted malt and toasted oat flavors; with a nice roasted bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with smooth, creamy, and slightly chalky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with no warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good oatmeal stout. All around good complexity and balance of dark/roasted malt and toasted oat flavors; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Aroma of burnt coffee and dark roasted pecans. Very dark color with tan light brown head. Super toasty and notes of black Patton. Creamy and smooth with a long lasting finish. Great for the price. Can be enjoyed with a good bowl on chili.
