2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 reebtogi (3262) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 30, 2012
355ml bottle pours a golden color with a finger of white head that leaves a few spots of lacing on the glass. Aroma is bold grapefruit with some cereal grains and mild caramel. Taste is a malty sweetness up front with a lingering hop bitterness that was not in my comfort range. Light to medium body with light carbonation. I found the hoppiness to be quite harsh which detracted from my rating.

Slightly tart, malty, and earthy. A strange finish that is not at all crisp or hoppy. Okay, but certainly not a standout for the style.

Poured from bottle. Hop/malt aroma. Cloudy amber, white head, lacing. Flavor of grapefruit hops with sweet malt, honey and yeast. No salmon. Refreshing feel. Nicely done.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 Fatehunter (749) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - JUN 15, 2012
Poured into a pint glass. Golden and transparent with almost an inch of white head. Looks like a pale ale.
Honeysuckle and slight citrus... but very slight.
Malty and sweet at first, followed by nice bitterness. However, there is not anything else going on here and the bitterness holds on a bit too long.
Light and crisp. Moderate carbonation. Feels right for a pale ale.
An average pale ale. "Certified Organic" apparently... but this beer needs some more flavor to bring it up.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 jsmerig (798) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 9, 2012
Pours a hazy orange gold with white foamy head. Aroma is orange mixed with an earthy aroma. Taste is citrusy malt followed by notes of floral hops. Mild bitterness just enough to offset the malt. Average mouthfeel on the finish. Not particularly crisp. A little slick.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 drowland (4988) - Jacksonville, Florida, USA - APR 20, 2012
4/20/12. 12oz bottle. Mostly clear golden pour, but with tiny suspended particulates, under a small khaki head that fades and laces just a tiny bit. Weird soapy aroma, both chalky and floral, with old caramel. Thin flavor with touches of bread and caramel and again that weird, chalky, soapiness. Very thin body. Not good.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 patricks110 (1212) - Alberta, CANADA - MAR 24, 2012
An above average APA. Pours out a bright golden straw in the body with a thick finger of dense yellow head and thick lacing rings. The nose has a sweet resinous hop aroma with definite grapefruit and not much else besides light grainy and caramel malts. The taste is slightly hopped and grainy with an overall cereal taste and light grapefruit finish. Overall, not much going on here.

Bottle. Pours a somewhat hazy deep gold with fizzy white head. Aroma of malt, caramel and some fruity esters. Flavor is much the same with a faint hint of smoke and a pleasant subtle honey-like notes. Light-medium body with medium-high carbonation. Overall, tasty little easy drinker.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20 julieimagery (182) - Coconut creek, Florida, USA - MAR 3, 2012
Same really as the Flying Dog Old Scratch. It has a more hoppy flavor than the Old scratch, so Julie likes it less but it’s not the greatest anyway...
