12 oz bottle, 8%. Ebony with a crema head that leaves a ring. Nose is mocha, brown sugar and grass. Medium body with a tang; some building resin. Taste is dark chocolate French roast beans mingled with pink grapefruit, pine and lime. A nicely hopped Impy.

2006 Bottle. Pours very thick, with a big thick, creamy brown head with a black body. Aroma of cinnammon, toasted and roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, expresso, light leather, and oak. Taste is oakey and quite bitter with a good coffee-chocolate balance. Thickish mouthfeel with small, light bubbles.

Very nice beer. Pours dark brown, opaque, and a big, bubbly thick tan head. Rich chocolate cake aroma, lots of malt, roasted coffee, and leather. Big roasty flavor, chocolate malt, and bitter hops in the taste. Some soy, caramel, and vanilla around the edges. Loved it.

12oz bottle. Pours black with a thin, whispy, tan head that leaves specks of lace. Smells roasty and sweet malty with some slight dark fruit. Tastes nice and dark roasted malty with some malty sweetness and slight dark fruit flavor. Some alcohol flavor as it warms. Full body, good carbonation.

Bomber from mcbackus via trade. The pour was on the light side for an IS. Ruby highlights streamed through. A decent tan head formed. The aroma was light chocolate, roasted malt some faint floral hops and coffee bitterness. The flavor followed along with roasted, smoky flavors mixing with coffee and some chocolate. Decent mouthfeel and a tight finish. Not bad.
