3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 flutetokill (521) - Fresno, California, USA - NOV 25, 2003
Clear pale yellow color with a white head. Initially a cheap pilsner aroma, but developed more honey and spice aromas as it warmed. Spicy hops flavor, with a smokey aftertaste. Fairly thin, bubbly feel.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 loweredsixth (946) - Clovis, California, USA - NOV 25, 2003
Pale yellow color with a small white head. The aroma was, at first, that of a cheap lager. Later, it became more malty sweet with a nice spicy hops character. The flavor was an interesting mix of malty sweetness and spicy hops...with a distinct smoky aftertaste. Soft feel...medium thin consistency.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Slick (1971) - Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA - APR 6, 2003
I can't say this is a favorite of mine but it isn't to bad a brew.Nice reddish amber color,Aroma was malty and little else to this untrained nose. The taste was pretty decent with a malty start,an almost spicy flavor some hops thrown in there as well.I got kind of a sweet, hoppy, earthy after taste from this one still it was pretty good and my first organic brew to boot.I don't know if it will be a brew that i will frequent but if it's around i won't turn it down.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Gusler (2654) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - FEB 7, 2003
The beer pours a hazy “Organic” yellow orange color, the head portly in size, creamy in texture and the color a very light tan, with the lace a thick covering sheet to seal off the glass. Malt aromas weigh heavy in the nose, earthy, with a certain mustiness that is common in organic beers, crisp and fresh, and a real treat for the schnozzle. Begins malt and lightly sweet, the mouth feel is middling, the finish has a light hop spicy bite, the carbonation tolerable and the aftertaste quite dry and long lasting. A fine drinking beer, one that would set well in any location, but with summer coming faster than I’d like a good Arizona Summer Beer.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Murphy (1759) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - DEC 28, 2002
My first impression was that this was a horrible pilsner. As the beer warmed, I could taste a fuller malty presence and I noticed yeast floating around in the beer. No huge rye taste present. A n ok beer, but not something I’ll drink again.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Zach Diesel (906) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 1, 2002
cloudy with more body than most organics but it tastes like that’s all they went for
