Multiple pours from a growler on 4/30/10 and 5/1/10. The growler was purchased for me by my friend on a recent trip to the Brewhouse in Duluth. According to Twitter and Facebook, this beer was released on 4/1/10. Refreshing, yeasty, wheaty aroma features orange, orange creamsicle, lemon, candy sugar, honey, apricot, apricot nectar, and white grape juice. Hops evident in the smell but not dominant. Pours a clear, copper/brass with a small amount of light cream-colored head. Nice lacing. This is the rare wheat and/or Belgian beer that tastes better than it smells. The dry hops actually dominate the flavor, especially in the finish. A fruity sweetness before the dryness comes to dominate: Peach, white wine, white grape juice. Dry aftertaste. Light to medium body. Soft and lively in the palate. Abbadon is good for multiple glasses, which is a good trait given that I have a growler of it.
