3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
3 oz. pour, on tap at the brewhouse. This was the seventh of 9 Fitgerís beers I tried on 4-4-08. Aroma of apricot in all forms (fresh, canned, nectar). Sweet, honey smell. Pours a slightly hazy pale gold. Tastes exactly like the name implies: apricot nectar crossed with a light American wheat ale. It tastes fine, but apricot nectar alone would be better. Apricot skin flavor as well. Light body. Smooth and lively in the palate.

sample at pub. A nice mixture of grainy wheat and peach. The apricot doesnít overtake the beer but sits in the background.

Had this one on draught as part of the sampler flight at the brewery in Duluth, Minnesota. Cloudy, medium golden pour with a thick white head, sweet apricot and peach nose, very sweet and bready throughout. Very good, especially for the style!

Hazy yellow. Glorious apricot--I love it when the fruit really shines through in a authentic (not artificial) way. Fresh, yummy, drinkable. Fizzy. Iím such a sucker for a well-made fruit beer. (on tap at brewpub)

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the Fitgers Brewhouse in Duluth, MN, pours a hazy golden yellow brew with a fast disolving white head. Sparce lacing and sticky. Aroma has a nice balance of wheat apricots, some powdery dust, and grassy hops. Taste is light body, carbonated, smooth and sweet. Finish has a nice wheat/weizen taste and lightly bitter.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Fully clouded straw yellow in color. Buttery almond croissant aroma with hints of fruit. A very forward apricot flavor which seems to rub the spicy wheat the wrong way. Itís a quiet fruit used in aggressive quantity, accomplishing something sort of strange. Dry, plastic candy finish. Underwhelming.
