badgerben (3001), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Mar 31, 2005 Medium brown color with a thin head. Very vague malt aroma. Some amount of malt in the taste, but no deep nut or barley flavor. Slight bitterness. Decent session, but nothing special. robertsreality (2462), Minnesota, USA Mar 6, 2005 Solid Brown Coloring with White Head. Malt/Hop Aroma. Watery Mouthfeel. Solid Malt with Equal Amounts of Hops Coming in at the End. Above Average Session Ale. CharlesDarwin (1333), State College, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 1, 2005 Updated: Aug 1, 2006Murky brown pale pour. Diminished off-white head. Decent lacing. A little water. Fruity toasted aroma. Light wheat and white grape flavor. A light blackberry touch. Very watered down. Leaves bitterish butterscotch touch on the tounge. beermatrix (1497), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA Mar 13, 2004 Thin chestnut brown color with light caramel/amber highlights, finger high head of lightly whipped, light brown froth; leaves tons of lace in spotty blankets. Aroma is mild with a roasty hazelnut intake and touches of cocoa powder. Taste is a little weak, very slight roast, slight hazelnut and some chocolate malts giving a smidgeon of sweetening within. Overall, kinda flat and lifeless. Feel is a tad thin and a touch on the watery side, but keeps a nice calming smoothness and has a fluffy drying finish. Pretty darn drinkable though, but not what I'd call packed with flavor.
