Poured on-tap into a snifter. A. Pours a dark brownish-black hue, 1 finger thick of white head, takes a minute or two to settle to a nice 1mm layer. S. Smells of dark chocolate, wheat, oats, sweet cherries and spice tips. T. Tastes of wheat, belgian yeast, slightly spicy peppers, and loads of peppercorn to finish. M. Medium body, mildly thick and slightly chewy, low carbonation feel O. An okay beer. A solid body, but the spices are really throwing me for a loops. I haven’t had enough Saisons to know if this is common, but it takes away from the traditional belgian mouthfell. It’s an okay beer, but I won’t likely ever have it again. I’m not at all a fan of peppercorn in my beer.
