This amber full bodied beer is first brewed with 10 year old aged hops to remove any hop flavor but still provide the preserving effects of the hop. Then it is fermented with cherries. Post fermentaion we condition the beer on top of 800 pounds of cherries. We get our fruit from Door County, Wisc. The result is a huge cherry flavor without forgetting that we are drinking a beer.

Tap,ABR.One of the delights at the ABR.Cloudy pink with a sour cherry nose.I was thinking this woilg be "Lambic" sour but it has a nice balance of sweet and sour. A little acidic buy tasty overall.

Draft at the Brewhouse. Iím going to classify the "Cherry Batch 2200" that I tried over the weekend under this label. I loved the novelty of it; the color was a perfect cherry red and the aroma was pitch-perfect: sour cherries. However, the predominant flavor of the beer was to similar to Robitussin or Vicks 44. I havenít had real Kriek yet but I assume itís a little better than this.
