(HAND BOTTLE FROM HELLOMYNAMEIS.THANKS MAN!)black body with red highlights.small light brown rign around the glass for a head.very balanced aroma of oak,whiskey,chocolate brownies,and gram crackers.the flavor is much of the same with the vanilla and alcohol showing up a bit more.VERY well balanced and smooth with a medium mouthfeel.awesome brew.

Aug 8, 2008 19-Jan-08 (Draft: Connoisseur’s Session, 2008 Great Alaskan Beer and Barley Wine Festival in Anchorage, AK) Sweet, roasty and bourbony nose is aromatic and enticing, but alcohol is extremely apparent. Sweet and roasty on the palate until the beer is swallowed, and then, huge alcohol and bourbon flavor with a lot of hot throat burn. Thin and watery for an Imperial Stout. Black and opaque in the glass with a bubbly tan head that fades to a ring. Way too much bourbon and alcohol for this beer to be enjoyable. It’s about as close to drinking spirits as I’ve encountered in a beer.

May 15, 2008 I had this on DLD 08 and what a treat this poured a black as night beer with a tan head that had hints of vanilla and coffee with a nice roasty finish and the barrell ageing was done well,this was very complex and awesome .CHEERS!

May 5, 2008 DLD ’08: Someone shared it thanks whoever you were. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma, chocolate, roasted notes, bitter dark chocolate, some coffee. Flavor, chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, oak, coffee, sweet and roasty on the finish. Good brew.

May 2, 2008 Shared by ??? at DLD. This was a wants list item for me and it was very descent. Big bourbon flavor. Very thick and chewy mouthfeel. Finished dry. This one was pretty nice.
