4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 FURLYSURIOUS (199) - Orono, Minnesota, USA - APR 24, 2012
Pours a deep copper orange with a healthy dose of milky, off-white head and nice lacing and beading. The nose is big on sweet citrus, honey, caramel, really nice. The taste brings waves of all kinds of bitter: grapefruit, orange peel, spruce, some booze, pretty complex, multidimensional. Pretty low drinkability due to its comparatively high bitterness. But all around, a terrific beer.

On tap at the GTMW 2011. Clear amber with a slowly disappearing rocky tan head. Aroma of aggressive resinous hops, floral hops, citrus and crystal malt. Taste of hi alpha resinous hops, pine, crystal malt, orange and a touch of floral hops and alcohol. Balanced and decent with a moderate to high bitter finish.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 portableparty (1190) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - AUG 18, 2011
Growler. Pours dark amber with a foamy kahki head that dissipates to a film. Aroma caramel malt and faint grapefruit spuce. Taste is bitter grapefruit and caramel with a faint metallic taste (hoppy bitterness). Palate is medium to full and sticky with a sharp dry finish. Well done IPA!
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 ryanfolty (758) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 11, 2011
Date: August 11, 2011 Mode: Draft Source: Fitgers Brewhouse, Duluth, MN Appearance: Translucent orangish-red with no head. Aroma: Hoppy. Flavor: Bitter and strong alcohol. Other: Way too strong on the alcohol for only 7%, I just couldn’t get over that.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 bpreo (994) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - OCT 12, 2010
UPDATED: OCT 13, 2010 The name sounds vaguely familiar, so I probably ordered this one at some point. The bar had a chalk board full of all different beers, and they were always changing, so who knows.

Growler from the brewpub. Dark golden colored pour with a couple of fingers of white head and some decent lacing. It has that "juicy" hoppy aroma that I really like and also a juicy mouthfeel with a bitter, hoppy bite with notes of citrus. Nice bitter bite to the finish.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 BVery (2559) - Burnsville, Minnesota, USA - JUL 2, 2010
Tap. Clear orange amber pour with minimal head. Hop in the nose - you can tell they use multiple types of hops. Smooth mouthfeel - hops are well balanced but the hop flavors don’t stand out. Someone said they picked out butter
flavor - I do as well.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 OSLO (1133) - Ames, Iowa, USA - MAR 16, 2010
[On-tap at Fitgers] Poured a deep, hazy orange, with a good off-white head. This was a good IPA with a lot of citrus punch to it. Strong aroma and taste of grapefruit and orange, while maintaining a decent balance between the malt and hop bitterness. Good mouthfeel, smooth, and a long finish. The only off-note I detected was a little bit of butter...but since I had this after eating I’m not going to deduct for it and will assume it was just the food affecting things.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 EHopper (472) - Minnesota, USA - DEC 5, 2009
Tasted as part of a sampler on the way to have our sailboat hauled for the winter. Simply a nice, well balanced IPA.
