Draft at the brewery. This is a ruddy-looking beer and starts like many D/IIPAs; overall itís drinkable, but side by side with their flagship pale ale, I prefer the pale ... this has a nutty aspect that takes over that didnít tickle my palate in the right way. (#5676, 8/29/2014)

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft. Light amber body. Frothy, off-white head. Aroma of leafy hops, flowers, pine, perfume, resin, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Taste of pine, orange peel, light resin. Lingering bitterness. Citrus hop flavors help balance the raw leaf, resin taste. Hint of orange juice in the finish.

Great beer which is worth having more than once. It is great especially nice and fresh at the brewery. It is well worth picking up a growler to enjoy.
