sampled at FOBAB 2010. last rating of the day and i’m glad that i randomly picked this one out to try... pours a clear mostly transparent golden yellow-brown hued p0our with a thin white head to top things off... aroma was soft green and very gueuze-like almost resembling a jonge lambic. soft green apples, lemon and a nice funk... flavors follow much of that as well. body was a little thin overall but it maintained a decent lambic flavor that i thoroughly enjoyed.

phaleslu (3544) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - NOV 16, 2010
Draft sample at FOBAB 2010. Pours a hazy yellow-gold with a small white head. Notes of brett, white grapes, lemon juice, lactic acid, oak, and champagne. Light-bodied, with crisp carbonation and a tart, dry mouthfeel. Dry and refreshing. Between this and the other Fitger’s beers at FOBAB, I think I threatened to move to Duluth at some point in the long, drunken day.

TheAlum (3299) - Lisle, Illinois, USA - NOV 10, 2010
Sampled at FoBAB 2010 (Chicago, IL). Pours a golden hue, lightly hazed, light lacing. Simple. Aromas are sour lactic acid, sour citrus, funky bretty dust and barnyard, wet oak. Touches of vinegar, lively prickly body, nice sour citrus and dry brett. A touch of Cabernet comes out, light tannin dryness and bitterness. Finish is dry, funky, sour. A bit underbodied, but lively and prickly spritz, decent citrusy sour, light to decent brett. More of a funky dry finish, the sourness falls behind after the initial shock somewhat. Not bad, tasty

deyholla (3533) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 9, 2010
Sampled from the tap at the 2010 FOBAB. Poured a clear urine yellow with a white head that dissipated quickly to the edges. Aroma was full of a nice sour note with a nice backing horse blanket note as well. Flavor began tart and became tart with sour fruit and a bit of horse blanket coming out in the finish.
