Winterfest 2008
Last beer sampled at Winterfest. A very good belgian tripel that was quite nice in flavor. The oak makes its way through but does not mask the usual tripel flavors of banana/clove. Very nice end to the night.

Rated: 2/20/05. Hazy amber iridescent pour. Head, fully diminished. Very still. Sweet bourbon like aroma with brandy and fruit wafts. Alcohol very present. Like an abbey fruitcakce. Bites the nose, but finishes smooth. Excellent!

Dark Cloudy Brown Coloring. Barley and Prune Aroma with Touches of Alcohol. Tastes Like a Raw Barley Wine Compared to the Sophistication of the Regular HOTM. Oak Notes are Very Noticeable, as is the Warming from the Alcohol and the Rich Malt, Barley and Prune Taste. Very Rich and Tasty but Overall Not Very Well Balanced and a Bit Raw Yet.
