On tap at the brewpub. Strong cherry and tangy malt aroma. Pours a murky dark brown, with minimal head. Flavors are rich and complex. Cellared, aged, and barreled Old Ale malts, caramel and graham cracker, paired with tangy, vatted sourness. Very traditional, old British style old ale done well. Matured and married flavor profiles. Nice, bristly but subtle cherry-like sourness. Alcohol well-integrated. Signature yeast and mineral. Nice and fun.

On tap at Fitger’s. Recommended by the couple sitting next to me. Nice dark ruby color, cloudy. Dark forest fruits and nuts cooked up in a bread pudding with carmel sauce and a splash of bourbon served in a dark wooded bowl kind of does it. Finishes with a nice sour and a lingering flavor in the nose I call linen. Really, really enjoyed this one.

[On-tap at Fitger’s] Pours hazy dark brownish red with a small ring of a head. Strawberry, plum, rasin, caramel and light notes of chocolate abound, with intense alcohol being the only downside. Very thick, smooth, and has a long finish. That mouthfeel is amazing. Too hot, but otherwise this is a very, very nice beer.
