Had this one on draught as part of the sampler flight at the brewery in Duluth, Minnesota. Clear, medium gold pour with a filmy white head, floral hoppiness present with sweet candy apple early, finishes unexpectedly dry and bitter. Tasty!

On tap at Fitgers. My least favourite beer sampled at Fitgers. A touch of hops, but really not very interesting.

Date: August 11, 2011 Mode: Draft Source: Fitgers Brewhouse, Duluth, MN Appearance: Translucent golden with some head and lacing. Aroma: Grainy and honey. Flavor: Consistent with aroma, light bodied. Other: Although I am a big fan of lighthouses, seemed like a slightly better done Honey Weiss.

Tap. Light yellow pour. Slight bread on the nose. Slight fruit on taste. Drinkable, but basically something for the kids who don’t know what beer really is.

Part of a sampler at Fitgers. There was little fizz, it was smooth and dry, with almost a burnt flavor on a green current base. Interesting but not al that satisfying.

On tap at Fitger’s Brewpub in Duluth, MN. Not a whole lot to say. It’s you’re standard, boring, light beer.

[Tap] Part of the brewpub sampler. Pours a light golden color with a small amount of white head. Aroma of cereal grains and light grass. Slightly metallic and astringent taste. Overall, a pretty grainy taste. Light, crisp hops in the finish. Decent body for the style. A pretty typical light beer clone.

Sample at the brewpub. Medium gold color. Light malty aroma. Very little discernable flavor, very silky smooth, I think it was on nitro, pretty good.

3 oz. pour, on tap at the brewhouse. This was the eighth of 9 Fitger’s beers I tried on 4-4-08. "Beery," metallic, light aroma with a light floral quality. Pours a clear pale gold with long-lasting effervescence. "Beery" taste. I can’t really judge this sort of beer, because it is so low in flavor and clearly not aimed at someone like me. It’s not bad for what it is, I suppose. Light body. Not as crisp as I expected, but, when I drank this, I figured it was a lager, and now I see that it is an ale. Lively and frothy in the palate. Two friends who are not as into beer as I am decided to choose Lighthouse Golden as the beer they took back home in growlers, so it seems to serve its purpose well.

Clear golden colour with a small head. This is a lot like bud with a bad aftertatse and a very grainy flavour to it. Not very good.

Draft at Fitgers. The community is being kind not classifying this as a Pale Lager, because that’s exactly what it is. And unfortunately, an uninteresting, watery, and slightly bitter one at that. Try something else; the brewers at Fitgers have better things to offer.
